Model history:

The last rear-wheel drive VW bus named T3 is not only visually different from its rounded predecessors. It is also more spacious and has a more modern chassis. Until 1982, it was delivered with blower-cooled boxer engines with 1.6 and two liters of displacement and 50 and 70 hp, respectively. Later, VW installed water-cooled boxers with 1.9 and 2.1 liters of displacement and 60 to 112 hp, and in-line four-cylinder diesel engines were also offered. VW camping buses based on a Westfalia setup were given model names such as "Camping", "Joker" or "Club-Joker", among others, and there were also a large number of special models based on the T3. Although the production of the T3 in the VW factory was stopped in 1990, authority vehicles and Syncros of the T3 were still produced until 1992 in Austria by the company Steyr.

Although there is no checkbook available for the VW T3 which is probably equipped with matching numbers, the history of this Westfalia can be approximately reconstructed after consultation with the current owner. The car has a valid MOT until September 2023, it already has an H license plate. Worth mentioning is still a value appraisal from July 2022, which certifies this VW T3 Westfalia Joker the condition note 2 as well as a market value of 25,000 €.

Exterior color/paint/body:

Repaints at the body held in beige of this Westfalia did not take place over the years, so the current owner. According to the appraisal, defects on the exterior include a soft dent without paint damage in the left side panel and an angular indentation in the corner area of the right side panel.
