    Technik: Das Fahrzeug wurde Mitte 2006 auf der NYIAS offiziell präsentiert,[1] wurde aber schon früher als Studie gezeigt. Das Cabrio wird mit dem üblichen 412 kW (560 PS) starken 12-Zylinder aus dem Bentley Continental GT (ursprünglich aus dem VW Phaeton W12, aber aufgeladen) angetrieben. Es hat Luftfederung und Allradantrieb und erreicht eine Höchstgeschwindigkeit von 312 km/h. Das Cabrio besitzt ein traditionelles Stoffdach, das vom Spezialisten Karmann in Osnabrück hergestellt wurde. GTC Speed Im Jahre 2009 auf der NAIAS in Detroit[2] wurde die Cabriolet-Baureihe um die leistungsgesteigerte Variante GTC Speed erweitert. Der Namenszusatz Speed ist angelehnt an die legendären Speed-Modelle der Gründerjahre. Neben der Leistungssteigerung verfügt der GTC Speed über ein leicht geändertes Fahrwerk, andere Räder sowie ein 3-Speichen-Sportlenkrad. Im Rahmen der Einführung des GTC Speed wurde die Baureihe einer leichten Modellpflege mit modifizierter Frontansicht unterzogen. Vor allem aber wurden auch die Motoren aller Continental-Modelle effizienter ausgelegt, so sank der Durchschnittsverbrauch bei unveränderter Leistung um einen halben Liter/100 Kilometer. LG Tom
