Vehicle description

Model history:

The Porsche 911 regularly occupies one of the first places in the hit list of the most popular classic cars, worldwide. Particularly popular are 911s of the first series, which was presented to the world public in 1963 at the IAA in Frankfurt and was produced from 1964. The original version of the 911 in particular, commonly known as the F-Series, exudes a special charm. Even contemporaries less fixated on sportier vehicles can escape its fascination. Although the design appears much more modern, it is easy to see that the basic concept is still based on the Porsche 356. Technologically, however, the introduction of the 911 meant a giant leap for Porsche. In 1967, 4 years after the presentation of the new Porsche, the Porsche 911 T enters the program as a fresh entry-level model.

.

General information about the vehicle:

A 911 T SWB (Short-Wheel-Base) from the year of manufacture 1968 is now also up for auction in this auction: it is a model first delivered in Europe in December 1968, the Porsche has a total of 3 owners, the last owner was a Briton. Now the 911 T was imported to Denmark, from where the seller sells the 911. The chassis number of the Porsche is 11820482, there is still a pair of keys to the car. A Porsche Certificate of Authenticity is available and confirms the matching numbers of the 911 T, in addition the seller notes that some previous invoices and receipts are still available for the purpose of tracing the history. The Porsche currently has a British registration, so does not yet have a German registration.

.

Exterior color/paint/body:

A charming original shape with a narrow waist and short wheelbase distinguishes the body of the 911 T, the paint color listens to the name "Sky Blue", this wears the Porsche since 1980. The original delivery color was "Bahama Yellow". The accident-free Porsche impresses with its only slightly patinated exterior, the seller notes that the car has already been repainted 4 years ago in the color "Sky Blue". The paint is in good condition and there are obviously no major flaws, the gaps are correct and there is no corrosion to be found. The discreet chrome decoration seems to be in perfect condition. Seals, rubbers and the piping are still soft and not hardened. The glazing all around shows no scratches. The Porsche also impresses with its modification-free original condition.

Exterior rims/brakes/chassis:

Classic chrome Fox wheels are mounted on the 911 T together with tires in good condition, the alloy wheels are apparently without curb scratches. The brakes can also be attested to be in good condition, no defects can be found on the chassis, everything here appears to be in original condition.

.

Interior:

In somewhat used condition, the interior of the Porsche can be found, whereby the brown leather seats show themselves as not worn through or worn. Only on the dashboard and the steering wheel are minor traces of time to be noticed, but there can be no talk of damage here. The beige headliner is remarkably clean and does not sag. The interior carpet shows no stains and the dashboard is free of any cracks. Features include an original radio, mechanical window crank and factory fog lights. The interior switches, gauges, gauges, and instruments show decent operation.

Running performance

.

A classic arrangement of round instruments is found in the cockpit of the early 911: of the five gauges finished in black, the speed indicator includes the five-digit speedometer, which currently stands at 18,555 miles. Since the mileage is measured by a five-digit speedometer and the history is not completely traceable, it can be assumed that the mileage is at least 118,555 mi. The seller lets note that there is a full service history for the last 4 years from UK ownership.

.

Engine

.

Approximately 10,000 miles ago, the 2.0-liter six-cylinder boxer engine (engine type 901/16) was rebuilt, according to the seller, using an original aluminum crankcase and adding Arius HC pistons to the engine. Together with "S" camshafts, the Porsche 911 T now has a slightly increased power, originally it has 110 hp. Shifting is done via a 4-speed manual transmission. Just recently, the 911 has undergone an inspection and a fresh service.

.

Underbody:

The underbody is in a good and age appropriate condition, partially a black underbody protection is visible, rust nests, the Porsche 911 T SWB apparently has none.
