Mercedes Benz C36 AMG W202 (1995)

Kickdown's Take

by Moritz Niemann

The C36 AMG was the first AMG developed in cooperation between Mercedes-Benz and AMG. This model is definitely a future classic! Finished in what is arguably the most classic of all Mercedes color combinations—silver with black leather—and completely repainted, this car is in very good condition and represents a very exciting investment.

Model history

In 1993, the C36 AMG was the first true high-performance model in the C-Class and also the first result of the newly founded partnership between Mercedes-Benz and AMG. Equipped with a hand-assembled 3.6-liter inline six-cylinder engine, the C36 AMG delivered up to 287 hp and reached an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. With its sporty suspension, subtle body modifications, and exclusive equipment, it was considered a serious rival to the BMW M3. Only around 5,200 units were produced worldwide, making the C36 AMG a rare gem today.
