In 1988, the Spyder-i models with injection engines followed, in 1989 came an export version with 2.8-liter displacement and in 1992 four-valve engines with two overhead camshafts per bank of the V6 were introduced. By 1994, only just over 3,000 Biturbo Spyders had been manufactured.
