Model history
The top model in the 911 series in 1969 was the Porsche 911 S, which was enlarged to 2.2 liters for the 1970 model year. The air-cooled six-cylinder boxer engine delivered 180 hp and could be combined with a manual five-speed transmission at extra cost. In this configuration, the 911 S achieved impressive performance figures for its time: a top speed of 225 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in around 8 seconds. As one of only 1,744 911 S coupés built in the 1970 model year, this vehicle occupies a special place in the history of the series.

Comments of this past auction
Der Preis betrug anfangs 21.900 Deutsche Mark, was inflationsbereinigt in heutiger Währung etwa 53.200 Euro entspricht. LG Tom
