Kickdown's Take

by Moritz Niemann

A classic Baur convertible is always something special—and this model also features the coveted inline six-cylinder engine and manual transmission. It is clear to see that it has been well maintained, especially as the car has only clocked up just under 120,000 kilometers and has had only two owners. A perfect opportunity to enjoy open-top driving!

Model history

The BMW E30 was launched in 1982 as the successor to the E21 and was the second generation of the 3 Series. The design was created by Claus Luthe and was further developed in terms of both functionality and style. The E30 was significantly more varied: in addition to the two-door sedan, four-door, convertible, touring, diesel, and all-wheel-drive versions followed. With high build quality, precise handling, and sporty six-cylinder engines—as in the 323i—the E30 quickly became an icon of the 1980s.

LG Tom
