Model history
The Mercedes-Benz 220 SE of the W128 series was produced from 1958 to 1960 as a sedan, coupe, and convertible and was the top model of the "Ponton" series. Equipped with a 2.2-litre inline six-cylinder engine with mechanical fuel injection, it offered noticeably more power than the 220 S. The luxuriously appointed convertibles and coupés were aimed particularly at an exclusive clientele. The 220 SE was replaced in 1959 by the more modern models of the W111 series.

LG Tom
