Comments of this past auction
Is the Air Conditioning working?
Just confirming that if I purchase this car from your auction, I will not be subject to German VAT, since I will import the car to the USA.
I guess the Price you pay is the Price at the endlos the auction. It is labeled as “private sale” so no invoice with vat you can deduct. If there will be an invoice with vat you have to pay full amount to the seller and later on deduct/request refund of the vat at export department/tax office. It is not the business of the seller! (I am not selling the car or am in charge of Kickdown in any way - I just want to help understanding before there is the last bid)
I have seen the photo showing the small area of corrosion next to the upper door hinge. Could you please confirm whether this is the only corrosion found in this area, or whether there are any signs of corrosion further down the A-pillar, around the sill/kidney bowl area or on the underside of the car? I also noticed that the 2015 invoice mentions repair work to the left-hand door frame (“Aufnahme für Türbremse in Türrahmen links instandsetzen”). Have you observed any evidence that this or any other area of the chassis has previously undergone rust repair or welding?
We have checked this again with the owner. According to him, he is not aware of any further corrosion in that area. He also stated that he has not noticed any corrosion on the A-pillar, around the sill/kidney bowl area, or on the underside of the car. He did add that there may be some light surface rust in places, but he is not aware of anything structural. Regarding the 2015 invoice entry referring to repair work on the left-hand door frame (“Aufnahme für Türbremse in Türrahmen links instandsetzen”), the owner stated that this was not related to rust repair. According to him, the issue was a fault with the hinge or door mechanism, which was repaired at the time. He said that no welding was carried out and that this was not a chassis rust repair. He also confirmed that all work carried out on the car during his ownership was performed by Krämer Sportwagen-Service GmbH, a well-known Porsche specialist. Please let us know if you would like us to clarify anything further with the owner.
Hi Peter, we've sent the questions to the seller and will get back to you very soon. Regards - Kickdown Team.
