Model history
The Mercedes-Benz 240 GD belongs to the first series of the legendary G-Class (W460), which was originally designed for military and civilian use. Robustness, off-road capability, and durability were the main priorities during development—qualities for which the G-Class is still known today. The 240 GD was equipped with an economical four-cylinder diesel engine and enjoyed great popularity among government agencies, armies, and off-road enthusiasts alike. Today, early models are particularly sought after due to their authenticity and rarity.

Questions and Comments
LG Tom
