Model history
The Alfa Romeo 2600 was the brand's flagship from 1962 to 1968 and the last production model with an in-line six-cylinder engine and two overhead camshafts - a technology that had characterized Alfa Romeo since the 1920s. The 2600 was presented at the 1962 Geneva Motor Show in three variants: as a saloon (Berlina), a convertible (Spider) by Carrozzeria Touring and a coupé (Sprint) by Bertone. These were later followed by the rare special models 2600 SZ by Zagato and the 2600 De Luxe with OSI bodywork.

Summary of the car
For sale is an extremely elegant Alfa Romeo 2600 Sprint from 1964 in gray with red leather interior. The vehicle has been in the current ownership since 2013 and is equipped with an H license plate and valid MOT until October 2026. Extensive technical revisions and visual repairs are evidence of the investment of over 22,000 euros, including an engine overhaul and work on the chassis, brakes and electrics. There are minor signs of age-related wear and tear, but these do not detract from the overall impression. The good condition is also confirmed by a current expert opinion with a grade of 2. All in all, a stylish Italian classic with a sporty character.

Comments of this past auction
LG Tom
