Model history
The Jaguar XJS was produced from 1975 to 1996 as a luxury grand tourer and was available in three body styles: coupé, saloon, and convertible. It was based on the XJ saloon and stood out thanks to its striking rear struts. The design was created by aerodynamics pioneer Malcolm Sayer, among others. The engines were revised with the introduction of the "High Efficiency" series in 1981, achieving up to 30% lower fuel consumption and improved performance. From 1991, after the takeover by Ford, the XJS underwent numerous technical and visual revisions – including a name change from "XJ-S" to "XJS." With over 115,000 units produced, it is one of Jaguar's most successful models.

LG Tom
