Lotus Elite (1960)

Moritz Helbich

Kickdown's Take

by Moritz Helbich

A Lotus Elite rarely appears on the German market. With only about 1,000 units ever built, every vehicle is a rare opportunity. This Elite has undergone extensive restoration in recent years: a new paint job, overhauled carburetors, new wheel bearings, and powder-coated spoke wheels—all backed by invoices totaling approximately €23,400. The appraisal, rated 1-, confirms its condition. The mileage cannot be verified, but that is often the case with a vehicle of this age. For Lotus collectors and enthusiasts of vintage lightweight sports cars, this is a rare opportunity.

LG Tom
