Model history

The Triumph TR3 was redesigned in 1957 and produced in an upgraded version that became unofficially known as the TR 3A – a name that became established mainly in the American market. Visually, the new version stood out with a wider radiator grille, exterior door handles, and a lockable glove compartment. A tool kit was also included as standard equipment. According to various sources, between 58,236 and 58,309 units were produced in the four years of production, the majority of which – over 52,000 vehicles – were exported. This makes the TR3A one of the most successful models in the TR series after the TR6 and TR7.

LG Tom
